I would love to see this. When I first started playing and I learned about worms (here) I set out to find one, at level 14 . I told a guy I was partied with about them and he laughed, "a legend in online games."
I would love to see a legend. Something that only exists in ONE place on every server, that periodically changes districts and zones and has a rare chance of appearing when someone creates an instance within which they've zoned. He should be very difficult of course, glint difficult. And when he dies, he should drop some sort of proof that you've killed it!
bloody cool!
edit: but there should also be someway to be able to track it down, if people know the signs, have the right skill, etc.
Perhaps even there could be just one in all of Tyria, and it exists only in the server that has the favor of the gods!

Glint is by far the hardest mob in the game. Many people say she's easy, but off course, she's on her own, and you're killing here with 8 people, that's pretty unfair If you would have to fight 2 Glints you wouldn't have a chance anyway, and I think she's the only one giving you so much trouble for a single mob.

The legendary mob is Gwen. Can't be killed. Set you on fire. Make you explode. And also have clones of her running all over the place.
The runner-up legendary mob is probably the elusive Gnomes-who-say-Ni!! Explosive gnomes hurt.

That would be the greatest thing ever...
Maybe after you kill it, your character glows or something (something noticeable like that). It would be very special, as there would only be one at any given time across all the servers and instances...give something for people to look forward to

Well, in the Underworld there are the invincible Vengeful Aatxes that I always get to deal with, because idiot noobs don't understand when nearly everyone in the party says "WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT ACCEPT ANY QUESTS!!!!!"
I would say 4 out of 5 times I go to the UW, some jackass accepts all the quests as soon as he can, thereby dooming the party to an early demise.

Yeah those vengeful aataxes suck. The quest is to beat the thing that makes them invincible, but to date I haven't had the oppotunity or desire to take the quest and find the creature.

I think I could do the quest, if the noobs only grabbed that one, but they invariably grab both quests. Then you have Invincible Aatxes + fragile little souls that must not die or game over.

I know one. In Addoans Whatever (I can't rmember the name) After Ring of Fire. You have to fight the Monk Mursaat Boss (lvl 28). My Group was 3 W/Mo, 2 Healer Henchs, 1 Nec, 1 Ele, 1 Ranger. Well it took literally ten minutes to kill him. WE didn't have enough dmg dealers and one of our W/mo was dumb and ran around him the whole time (he claimed he was making it dizzy) sooo none of us died but it took forever.

Hahah...this is the funniest thing I've heard. I hate it when idiotic W/Mo show up....really ruins the reputation of us who plays a good W/Mo who can tank, kill, and not draw too much aggro.

I've done the Keeper of Souls quest.
And those Aaxtes are unkillable, literally.
But I will never do that quest again, even though I used the easy strategy.

I like the idea alot DrSLUGFly.
A legendary, unique, fantastic, near-impossible, gigantic, rare, ferocious beast that drops an amazing, iconic, godly, superior item.
Perhaps with a note in the item description that it came from X monster?
Maybe this mob could have footprints or even make the ground tremor like in Jurassic park.
The whole party would be like....
Pete: "OMGWTFISTHAT?!!!!111".
Sam: "Can we kill it?".
Arnold Schwarzenegger: "F*** that, you can if you want but i'm not!".
Get away from the repitition and put some major excitement into GW!!
EDIT - We've seen the huge skeletons in the desert...skulls the size of houses. Imagine that biting you!!
Go BIG ArenaNet....Let's have guild hunting parties seeking giant, mythical, monstrous killing machines. One chance in twenty of that creature spawning or something.
I am so excited, lol. It might not ever happen

hehehe I like that thought. Something really huge it casts a shadow on the ground. And whenever he walks there's an earthquake effect, complete with knockdown and aftershock =P

I thought they were quite easy. Just take out the patrols around the mound, take out the Skele Mesmers then its simple to take one down.
